J&K: NC MP to protest CM’s move to rationalize job reservation
The NC had in its poll manifesto said the party would take steps to rationalise the job quota.
Ryan International School’s management has suspended the acting-principal, Neerja Batra, of its Gurugram branch after a seven-year-old student was found dead with his throat slit inside Ryan International School here, as per media reports on Saturday.
About 200 angry parents entered the school to take their children back home on Friday. The parents also vandalised the school property demanding the arrest of authorities for negligence. Police have detained two protesters for vandalising the school property

Annoyed over the school’s response, mother of a Class 5 student, who did not want to be named said that there are so many incidents of neglect of school over the safety of students. “We have raised the safety issue of kids many times. But the school authorities did not give much care,” she said.

Members of Purvanchal Sangathan also protested at the Civil Lines mortuary, where the body of the boy was taken for autopsy.
Civil Hospital officials said that they have conducted the post mortem. “We have asked the relatives to collect the boy’s body but they have refused,” said official.
On Friday, several protesters held a sit-in outside Police Commissioner’s office in Gurugram for few hours demanding the arrest of the principal and threatened to continue protest.
