The Prime Minister was committed to double the income of farmers of the country by the year 2022 and the Union government was also determined to provide house to every homeless by the year 2022, he added.

He said the Prime Minister provided seven helicopters to airlift stranded people in Lahaul valley due to untimely snow in the recent past.

252 people were airlifted safely to Kullu and around 800 school children were also safely rescued from Holi in Chamba district. Thakur said the state government was ensuring that every household get gas connection by the end of the next year for which free gas connections were being provided under the Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojana.

In addition, Jan Manch programme of the state government was proving a boon to the people of the state for redressal of their grievances.

Shimla MP Virender Kashyap thanked the Chief Minister for ensuring balanced development of the state and said PM Modi had showed special benevolence towards the state and its people by sanctioning various development projects.

“It is unfortunate that the previous government failed to utilise funds provided by the centre government. The Union government has sanctioned 70 new national highways for the state but the previous government failed to even prepare detailed project reports for these highways,” he added.
