Living up to the expectations of the government, the IT and Electronics Department of the Uttar Pradesh government has received investment proposals worth Rs 1.75 lakh crore till January 10, 2023.

Out of these, MoUs worth more than Rs 97,000 crore have also been signed. At the same time, investment proposals worth more than Rs 78,000 crore are in the process signing the MoU. The department has received a total of 148 investment proposals, out of which 135 proposals have been converted into MoUs.

With the implementation of these MoUs, lakhs of youths and IT and electronics experts of the state will get new employment opportunities.

According to the data related to the department on the Nivesh Sarathi portal, through the 135 proposals which have been converted into MoUs, more than 13 lakh employment opportunities will be created in the state. At the same time, more than 5,000 jobs will be provided through the proposals which are under process. Overall, more than 13.5 lakh employment opportunities are going to be available in this sector at present.

The investment in this sector will not only benefit big cities or tech-friendly youth, but also villages and towns as well as resources like agriculture.

An MoU has been signed between the state government and Infotouch Technologies Pvt. Ltd for starting a project at a cost of Rs 78,000 crore. The project is to create an ecosystem to boost the IT/ITeS landscape within the state through hi-tech next-gen big data technology project consisting of data storage, data mining, data-analytics and data visualization.

To develop state-of-the-art IT infrastructure, data will be generated through 10,000 drones in the entire state. These drones will collect relevant data while helping farmers in various agricultural activities like aerial geo mapping, aerial survey, spraying of fertilizers etc. The government will go ahead with this MoU after discussion with all concerned departments.

Meanwhile, a report from Prayagraj said that during the District Investors Summit, Investors have agreed for an investment of Rs 33,703 crores on Sunday.

In the presence of state Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, around 108 investors in the district have given their consent for investment. This investment will provide employment to more than 17,175 people.
