Yogi in Badaun: Sanghamitra gets emotional
The reason for this is not known yet but reports say that she got emotional as she was denied ticket this time. After a few minutes she became normal and by then the Chief Minister had also arrived.
The BJP MP said that she was surprised to have found that no woman has yet raised a finger on the issue.
BJP MP from Badaun Sanghamitra Maurya, who is daughter of Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya, has fully supported her father’s view on the Ramcharitramanas.
“We take everything in a positive note, those who are having objections should look at it positively. There should be a debate on the question raised by my father and it should be clarified so that we do not face any kind of problem in future,” she told media persons here on Wednesday.
According to Sanghamitra, her father read the Ram Charit Manas and if he had coded that line, it should be clarified, although I have not spoken to him in this regard.

“He coded that line with doubt and asked for clarification, so we think there should be an explanation. There are many scholars and this topic is not for discussion by sitting in the media, we think it is a matter of analysis,” she demanded.
The BJP MP said that she was surprised to have found that no woman has raised a finger yet on the issue.
Earlier, SP Leader and MLC Swami Prasad Maurya had triggered a political controversy when he demanded ban on certain portions of the Ramcharitmanas as it divides the society, which is an insult to the Dalits and backwards.
The Hindu Mahasabha had already lodged FIRs against Maurya in Lucknow over his statement while many other political leaders cutting across the party lines, have criticised him.
The Samajwadi Party, too, has not supported his statement and claimed that it was his personal view.
