Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday said his government will provide lodging and boarding facility to the state’s pilgrims visting Ayodhya.

The Dhami government has purchased more than six bighas land at Ayodhya to huge guest house for the pilgrims from Uttarakhand.

Dhami announced this on Tuesday at Ram Temple premises in Ayodhya as he visited the place along with his cabinet in accordance with a pre schedule plan of the state government.

Chief Minister said Uttarakhand government has acquired the land and made all preparations to build a state guesthouse near Ram temple for the pilgrims of Uttarakhand.

According to Dhami the guesthouse will help pilgrims coming to Ram Janmbhumi Temple have confortable staying and meals in Ayodhya.

“Our government has sanctioned ₹32 crore for purchase of land to build this state guesthouse in Ayodhya. It will be built on 4700 square meters, more than six bighas land acquired by the government. Lord Ram devotees coming from Uttarakhand to Ayodhya will be provided all facilities, including stay and meals, in this state guest house” said Dhami.

Earlier in the day Dhami reached Ayodhya with his five cabinet ministers Satpal Maharaj, Premchand Aggarwal, Subodh Uniyal, Dhan Singh Rawat, Rekha Arya and Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal in the afternoon and visited the temple. Dhami and his cabinet colleagues were given a grand welcome by UP government as they reached newly constructed Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya.The airport campus echoed with slogan ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

The stat cabinet then left for Ram Janmabhoomi temple where they offered prayers to lord Ram and took part in a puja.

Coming out of the prayer chief minister said “I am overjoyed seeing Ramlala at his birthplace after years ling waiting inside a tent. Extent of emotion and devotion we feel is realised only after coming here. I am overwhelmed with emotions. Temple is beautiful with grand construction and architecture.
