Rajasthan to launch flying school in Bhilwara; plans for 2 more in Pratapgarh and Banswara

The Rajasthan Government has announced the establishment of a flying school in Bhilwara, as part of its efforts to enhance infrastructure in the civil aviation sector and expand air connectivity for domestic travelers, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on Monday.

The Rajasthan Government has announced the establishment of a flying school in Bhilwara, as part of its efforts to enhance infrastructure in the civil aviation sector and expand air connectivity for domestic travelers, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on Monday.

“The state government is committed to strengthening civil aviation infrastructure. To support this vision, we will develop the Hamirgarh airstrip to facilitate flying school operations,” Sharma stated.

Mandatory approvals for the project have already been granted, he added. “This initiative will create new opportunities for aspiring youth from Bhilwara and nearby districts to pursue careers as pilots.”

Additionally, the government is planning to set up flying schools in Pratapgarh and Banswara, with several investors expressing interest in these projects.

Sharma also highlighted the progress made in the domestic civil aviation sector under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

“The Udaan Yojana launched by the Central Government has significantly boosted the number of domestic flyers and opened new avenues for regional connectivity,” he remarked.
