After a special Girdawari (crop assessment) following inclement weathe-2022, the government of Rajasthan on Friday issued a notification declaring 7,834 villages in 15 districts ‘scarcity hit’.
On the basis of Kharif crop-2022, a regular/special Girdawari reports received from district collectors, the notification has been issued for the villages of these districts to provide relief to the farmers in case of crop failure due to floods.
According to the notification issued by the Disaster Management, Assistance and Civil Defense Department, altogether 1231 villages of Baran district, 957 of Bharatpur, 517 of Bundi, 58 of Dhaulpur, 02 of Sriganganagar, 1597 of Jhalawar, 13 of Karauli, 347 of Nagaur,14 Sawai Madhopur, 716 of Tonk, 766 of Kota, 717 of Banswara, 625 of Pratapgarh, 47 of Jodhpur, 227 of Ajmer have been provided the relief.
This notification will remain in force till March 31, 2023.
