Rahul Gandhi misses Delhi rally citing health concerns
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Wednesday skipped a rally scheduled to be addressed by him in the capital for the forthcoming Assembly elections due to health issues.
“It is a misuse of the Constitutional Institutions like CBI, ED, IT by the Central Government for acting against Opposition parties including the Congress with the repressive policies”, Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress state President alleged at a Dharna site near ED office.
Protesting against the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) summons to Mrs Sonia Gandhi, the Congress President and Rahul Gandhi under the alleged pressure of Modi Government, hundreds of leaders and party workers of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, on Monday, held a ‘pad yatra’ (march) holding anti-Modi government placards and banners from PCC Office to the ED Office here.

Dotasra said for the last eight years, the Modi Government was acting in a dictatorial manner and it is the misfortune of the country’s politics that fascist power was making policy at the center.

He said, “The BJP made tall promises to the people during the 2014 general elections, but after coming to power, the Central government, instead of fulfilling the promises, is hurting the self-respect of the farmers, filed false cases under the conspiracy against the opposition leaders”.
Those who addressed the workers included Rajasthan Ministers Dr B D Kalla, Govind Ram Meghwal, Mrs. Shakuntla Rawat, Ramesh Chand Meena, Parsadi Lal Meena, Pratap Singh Khachariwas, and a number of chairmen and vice-chairmen of boards and corporations.
