4 MP residents die in Surat building collapse, CM offers Rs 4 lakh ex gratia to victims’ families
Seven persons lost their lives in the incident, which occurred in the Pal area of Surat, where a six-storey residential building collapsed.
As per the CPRO-NWR release, 26 passengers were injured due to the derailment of BandraTerminus-Jodhpur Suryanagari Express.
In the aftermath of the derailment of BandraTerminus-Jodhpur Suryanagari Express that occurred between Rajkiawas-Bomadra section of Jodhpur division in the wee hours, the Railways on Monday announced an ex gratia of Rs.25,000 for each of the 16 injured and Rs one lakh for one seriously injured passenger.
As per the CPRO-NWR release, 26 passengers were injured due to the derailment. They all were rushed to the Bangar Hospital in Pali city where they are undergoing treatment.

According to a railway source, the derailment occurred due to cracks in the rail road following chilly weather. The North Western Railway’s (NWR) higher officials are constantly monitoring the situation.

Meanwhile, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, who has interacted with the injured on mobile and obtained first-hand information about their condition, is expected to visit the accident site to take stock of the situation.
