The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction for him that all the jobs have been given completely on the basis of merit, sans any corruption or nepotism.

Due to the dense fog in the state, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday announced a change in the timing of all the government and private schools in the state.
“Due to the dense fog falling in the state, in view of the health and safety of school students-teachers, tomorrow from 21-12-2022 to 21-01-2023, the opening time of all government, aided, recognised and private schools will be at 10 a.m. is done..the leave will be as per the pre-fixed time…,” Mann said in a tweet.

A thick blanket of fog on Tuesday morning reduced the visibility at several places in Haryana and Punjab, where minimum temperatures also hovered below normal limits. Bhatinda in Punjab reported zero visibility at 5.30 am, while visibility in Amritsar and Patiala was reported to be 25 metres.
