Punjab: Five veterinary officers dismissed
In a bold move to address negligence and absenteeism, Punjab Animal Husbandry Department on Thursday terminated the services of five veterinary officers with immediate effect.
Warring demanded a clarification from the State Government clearing its position alleging that public money was being squandered away in such a lavish manner.
Punjab State Congress president, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Monday alleged confrontation between the political executive and the bureaucracy resulting in “trouble and turmoil” in the Aam Aadmi Party Government in the State.
In a statement issued here, Warring referred to the removal of the State Health Secretary over his alleged refusal to approve Rs 30 Crore for advertising a Government scheme (Aam Aadmi Clinics), whose cost was Rs 10 Crore.
He demanded a clarification from the State Government clearing its position and alleged that public money was being squandered away in such a lavish manner.

According to him, the Health Secretary was not the first officer to be shunted out and he was not going to be the last one either, given the way the AAP Government was running the State.
Warring said that on every passing day, the AAP Government was exposing its inexperience, incompetence and inefficiency and now, it has even failed to handle the bureaucracy, which was trying to exploit the Government’s inexperience and incompetence.
Otherwise, he asked, how would the bureaucrats have the audacity to defy the Government. “We, as the principal Opposition party are concerned over the erosion of the political authority thanks to your inexperience and incompetence”, the Congress leader told the Government, asking it to set its house in order.
“If your intentions are clear, nobody can dare to defy you”, he told the Government and advised it not to give any excuse for defiance to the bureaucracy.
