Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Central government of muzzling the voice of the media in the country.
Addressing a public rally organised on the sidelines of 85th Congress Plenary Session at Nava Raipur, Priyanka said: “Today the government has coerced the media. They cannot criticise the government and cannot say anything against it.”

“They are even trying to pressurise the judiciary. They get speeches of Congress MPs expunged from the parliamentary records”, she charged.
She further claimed that the recent ED and IT raids in Chhattisgarh were a part of the Central government’s designs to derail the ongoing welfare schemes initiated by the current Congress regime in the state.
“The Central government doesn’t like the discussion about the schemes of the Chhattisgarh government. This is not an assault on Congress or the state government but it is an assault on you”, she lamented.
