PM likely to visit Mahakumbh on February 5, President on February 10
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Mahakumbh Mela 2025 on February 5 while President Drapudi Murmu is expected to visit here on February 10.
Official Twitter handle of the President of India said: “President Droupadi Murmu started her visit to Tamil Nadu with the darshan of Meenakshi Amman in Madurai. She prayed before the Mother Goddess for the well-being of all.”
President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Madurai on a two-day visit to Tamil Nadu. The President was extended a warm welcome by Governor R N Ravi and State Minister Mano Thangaraj at Madurai airport. She will grace the Mahashivratri celebrations at Coimbatore organised by the Isha Foundation.
“Governor Ravi, on behalf of the people ofTamil Nadu, extends a hearty welcome to our Hon’ble President of India, smt. Droupadi Murmu, on her first visit to this spiritual land of Saints, Sages and Poets,” tweeted Raj Bhawan.

Later, she will visit Coimbatore to attend the Mahashivratri programme at Isha Yoga Centre. The President will leave the premises after a few hours at the function and will not be staying there overnight.
Dropoudi Murmu will also visit the Defence Service Staff College (DSSC) at Willington in Coonoor where she will address members of 78th staff course, on Sunday. An Indian Air Force chopper carrying the President will land on the helipad at the Willington Gymkhana Club.
The President’s security team also visited the districts and inspected the security arrangements in place in Madurai. The district collector also held a consultative meeting with officials on the security arrangements. Later, the district banned the flying of drones on February 17 and 18.
