New Delhi: Ryan International School in Gurgaon re-opened on Monday, 10 days after a seven-year-old student, Pradyuman, was found murdered in the washroom of the school. Parents of the deceased boy have questioned the decision of reopening the school, raising concern over the possibility of ‘tampering of evidence’.
Victim’s father told the media that re-opening the school before completion of CBI investigation may jeopardise the case as the evidence might be tampered with.

On September 8, the seven-year-old boy was found with his throat slit in the washroom of the school in Bhondsi on the Sohna road. 42-year-old Ashok, conductor of one of the school buses, has been arrested in connection with the murder.
Earlier, it was suspected that the deceased student was sexually molested and was killed as he tried to escape and raise an alarm, a post-mortem report on the deceased student’s body ruled out sexual assault.
Last Friday, Haryana Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced that investigation of the case will handed over to a CBI.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Saturday evening issued a show-cause notice to the school asking why their affiliation should not be revoked after they failed to ensure safety and security of its students.
Union Minister Maneka Gandhi, and HRD Minister P Javadekar, along with other officials from the CBSE are scheduled to chair a high level meeting on the safety and security of children in schools on Monday.
