Police remove martyrs’ widows from protest site in Jaipur
BJP MP Kirorilal Meena admitted to SMS hospital with bruises as he fell off a police vehicle while being taken away from the dharna site.
“As per a team of doctors’ advice on the deteriorating health conditions of the protesting women since yesterday, they (women) were taken to the hospitals near their villages and admitted there for treatment”, a senior cop of the Police Headquarters told SNS when contacted.
“No police action was taken against these ailing women”, the cop clarified.
While nine male supporters of Rajya Sabha MP (BJP) Kirorilal Meena who tried to stop shifting of three women were rounded up in section 151 of IPC and sent to the SEZ police station.
After hearing the information the BJP MP rushed to the SEZ police station to enquire about the martyrs’ widows whom he did not find or locate there except his supporters who raised slogans ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai” in presence of senior cops.
One of the widows was adamant on her demand to give a compensatory job to her ‘devar’ (brother-in-law) in lieu of her husband’s sacrifice in the Pulwama attack, while two others had different demands which were already fulfilled by the state government earlier. Quoting the rules and regulation framed for the martyrs’ families, the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has denied providing a job to any relative of the martyr instead of his (martyr) kin (son/daughter/wife). The Governor of Rajasthan has also intervened asking the CM to ensure an ‘immediate positive action’ in the matter.
