PM hands over appointment letters for govt jobs to 51,000 youth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits on 30 November at Rozgar Mela via video conferencing. He will also address the appointees.
The Rozgar Mela will be held at 37 locations across the country. The recruitments are taking place across the Central government departments as well as in state governments and Union Territories supporting this initiative.
The new recruits, selected from across the country, will be joining the government in various ministries and departments, including the Ministries of Home Affairs, Defence, Health & Family Welfare and Labour & Employment and Departments of Revenue, Higher Education, School Education and Literacy and Financial Services.

The periodic Rozgar Mela is a government initiative towards fulfilment of the Prime Minister’s commitment to accord highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.
The new appointees, with their innovative ideas and role-related competence, will be contributing, inter alia, in the task of strengthening industrial, economic and social development of the nation, thereby helping to realise the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat.
The appointees are also getting an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training) Karmayogi portal, where more than 800 e-learning courses have been made available in ‘anywhere any device’ learning format.
