The prime minister has been keenly promoting the International Yoga Day on social media and has been sharing animations on Twitter wherein he practices different yoga postures.
On March 25, he shared the first animation practicing the “Trikonasana” (the triangle posture). Modi had declared that he would be sharing a “set of videos” periodically on social media.
The second video was tweeted on March 29 wherein the prime minister promoted the “Tadasana” (palm tree posture).
The animated videos are available in English and Hindi but more languages will be added soon, Modi had assured. The videos cover all important yoga postures with instructions on how to perform them.
The UN declared June 21 as International Day of Yoga in 2014 after Modi called for the day to be declared as a global celebration of yoga.
