Singh, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Begusarai, was admitted to the hospital three days ago.

The PM had on Friday expressed grief at the passing of the 82-year-old leader.

“Anguished by the demise of Lok Sabha MP from Begusarai, Shri Bhola Singh Ji. He will be remembered for his outstanding service to society and efforts towards the development of Bihar. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this hour of grief,” he wrote.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan condoled the demise of Singh, saying his death was a big loss for Bihar.
Mahajan hailed Singh as a champion social worker and stated that his death is a big loss for the sector.
Union Health Minister JP Nadda also offered his condolences.
A Rajya Sabha MP eight times, Singh had also served as a minister in the Bihar government. Singh had in 2009 been elected from the Nawada Lok Sabha seat and was serving his second term as a Lok Sabha MP at the time of his death.
Born on 3 Jan 1939, Singh, a Ph.D, completed his education from Patna University and Lalit Narayan Mithila University of Darbhanga.
