Describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi as 'a messiah of the poor’, the BJP on Monday expressed its resolve to make the 21-day long countrywide celebrations being held to mark three years of BJP-led NDA rule at the Centre a grand success.

“The BJP organisation both at the central and state level would make all-out efforts to make the third anniversary celebrations very successful,” party national general secretary Arun Singh said here during a joint press conference with the Union Minister Smriti Irani.

The party leaders from mandal, zila to Pradesh level, national office-bearers,  corporators, mayors and a total of 102 state ministers will take part in various public programmes, Singh said.

Giving details of the tour itinerary of the party leaders, he said all party leaders will have to hold a separate programme outside their constituency.

He said names of all the leaders with their programme itinerary had been sent to the respective states. The
state units have been asked to coordinate with the leaders to finalise the dates of their visit.

As per the programme schedule prepared by the BJP, the Prime Minister will kick off the ‘third anniversary celebrations’ functions from Guwahati in Assam on 26 May.

Party president Amit Shah will be in Kerala from 2-4 June, in Andaman and Nicobar on 6 June, in Chattisgarh from 8 to 10 June and in Arunachal Pradesh on 12-13 June to take part in anniversary functions.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Mumbai and Jaipur, Sushma Swaraj Delhi and Lucknow, Arun Jaitley Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, Venkaiah Naidu Bhubaneswar and Chhattisgarh, Nitin Gadkari Chennai and
Ranchi, Anant Kumar Kolkata and Andhra Pradesh. J P Nadda will be in Kerala and Gujarat to participate in the ‘Lok Tantra Utsav’.

Arun Singh said for the first time chief ministers of one state will be taking part in events in other states to highlight the achievements of the Central government.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will go to Odisha to take part in the third anniversary celebrations.

Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh to West Bengal, Rajasthan CM Vijay Raje Scindia to Asansol, West Bengal, Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das to West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will go to Patna.
