Remembering the brave heroes, who were martyred in Pulwama in 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said their service and sacrifice for the nation will always be remembered.
The Prime Minister posted on X: “I pay homage to the brave heroes who were martyred in Pulwama. Their service and sacrifice for our nation will always be remembered.”
It has been five years since the devastating Pulwama terror attack that claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel on duty.
A suicide bomber targeted a convoy of 78 vehicles carrying over 2,500 soldiers on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway. More than 35 army personnel were injured in the attack that shook the nation’s core.
Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) had claimed responsibility for the attack.
Less than a fortnight on February 26, Indian Air Force jets bombed JeM’s camp in Balakot located in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
