Fugutive business tycoon Vijay Mallya, who is accused of financial irregularities totalling Rs 9,000-crore, is all set to the tie the knot with long-time girlfriend Pinky Lalwani. But who is Pinky Lalwani and how did she come into Mallya’s life?
Not much is known about her personal life prior to her link up to Mallya but if reports are to be believed, the two have known each other for more than seven years and have been in a relationship for quite awhile now. Pinky is much younger to Mallya.
Pinky and Mallya met in 2011, when Pinky was an air hostess in the Kingfisher Airlines and she was introduced to Mallya by one of the former executives of the company.

Mallya reprotedly took an instant liking for Pinky and the two were often spotted together on numerous occasions like IPL, where Mallya owned one of the IPL teams, Royal Challengers Bangalore.
For more than a year, the two were rumoured to be ‘good friends’, however it didn’t take long for the couple to get in the eye of public and media, when the two were often seen walking hand-in-hand and spending some intimate moments.
According to reports in numerous publications, the couple celebrated the third anniversary of their relationship together last year in the presence of close friends and family members.
Apparently, back in 2017 when Mallya was arrested in Scotland, Pinky was spotted leaving the court with him after he was out on bail on a bond worth 650,000 pounds.
After years of dating and also reportedly staying together, the two have decided to take their relationship to the next level and are set to exchange their wedding vows in 2018 (apparently Mallya’s third).
Mallya has been married twice prior to his relationship with Pinky. Mallya married Sameera Tyabjee in 1986, mother of Siddharth Mallya. Mallya married for a second time in 1993 to Rekha, with whom he has two daughters Leanna and Tanya.
Intolerance of economic crimes is not unique to India; Bernard Madoff the mastermind of the largest known Ponzi scheme, worth an estimated $18 billion, was sentenced by a US court to 150 years in prison, making people wonder if financial fraud was worse than violent crimes like rape and murder.
Mallya is currently in the United Kingdom and is being charged with a bank debt default case involving his defunct Kingfisher Airlines that involves over Rs 9,000 crore.
