Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath ,delighted with the win in Jhabua assembly bypolls on Thursday said “ the people have rejected the lies, deceit and ‘jumlas’ of BJP and voted for the method and principles of Congress and its government’s work”.
The Congress defeated the BJP in the Jhabua assembly bypoll as senior party leader Kantilal Bhuriya won against the BJP first-timer Bhanu Bhuria by over 18,000 votes.

In a series of tweets Nath said (in Hindi), “Many congratulations to Congress candidate Kantilal Bhuriya on Congress’ win in the Jhabua bypolls election. Thanks to the voters and workers of the region. The people have rejected the lies, deceit and ‘Jumlas’ of BJP and voted for the method and principles of Congress and its government’s work for the betterment of people.
In another tweet MP CM said, “This (win) is the gift by the people of Jhabua on Diwali. We will change the face of Jhabua by fulfilling all the poll promises. This is our resolution.”
He further said, “This win has provided us strength. By proving right on the people’s expectations, we will change the course of development work in Jhabua. We will fulfill all the promises made to the people under all circumstances. “
With improved Congress performance in Haryana and even in Maharashtra he said that “there was an atmosphere of despair in the country and voters had reposed faith in the Congress.”
Kamal Nath while addressing media said that the way BJP tries to play on divergent politics that has been exposed. He added that BJP’s loss shows how people are realising the mistake they made during Lok Sabha elections.
