The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday endorsed the statement of separatist Mirwaiz Umar Farooq calling for unanimous efforts to curb the drug menace in Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking a serious note of the growing menace of drug abuse, the Mirwaiz, while addressing the Friday congregation at Srinagar’s Jamia Masjid said; “A large number of youths getting drawn to drug addiction is alarming. Easy money and easy availability, parental unawareness and inaction by law enforcing agencies are all contributing. We need to work on all these fronts to overcome this menace.”
