Two held for firing in Outer North Delhi resulting in injury to a ten-year-old boy
Two persons were apprehended in the firing that took place in Outer North Delhi on Tuesday afternoon in which a 10-year-old boy received gunshot injury in his leg.
In the hospital, brother of the deceased Jitendra told the police that on the day of incident, one person, namely, Gulfam had taken his brother Rinku from his house at around 11 pm on his bike. Later, Gulfam returned at about 12.30 am and informed that he along with Rinku met with an accident at Old Wazirabad Bridge and Rinku was lying injured.
A youth died under ‘mysterious’ circumstances in North Delhi after he was taken out on a bike by a person known to him. On the way, they met with an accident resulting in severe head injury to the youth causing his death. However, the family is alleging that he was brutally beaten to death.
After the incident, the victim was shifted to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. On information, the police reached the hospital and sent the body for the post-mortem examination. A case has been registered at Timarpur Police Station. Further investigation has been taken up.

Police said that a PCR Call was received at Timarpur Police Station regarding the incident on Tuesday. The caller alleged that a man was brutally beaten with a stick on Old Iron Bridge near Kashmere Gate.

A police team reached the spot and came to know that the injured was shifted to the Trauma Centre, Civil Lines. On reaching the hospital, it was revealed that the youth identified as Rinku, resident of Wazirabad, Delhi, was brought to the hospital, but was declared dead by the doctors.

On the statement of Jitendra and based on preliminary inquiry, a case of death caused due to negligence was registered and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, the crime scene was inspected. Search for the alleged person Gulfam, resident of 5th Pusta, Sonia Vihar, was conducted. He was apprehended from his house. He was also found in an injured condition. On interrogation Gulfam stated that he along with Rinku met with an accident, which caused his death.
