Himachal CM launches ‘Sarkar Gaon ke Dwar’ programme at Galore in Hamirpur district
He instructed officials to upload all the 87 complaints received during the programme on the Chief Minister Helpline.
The District Administration and the Health Department have been ordered by HP Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to properly take care of the patients.
As many as 535 people are said to have fallen sick after reportedly drinking contaminated water in 12 villages in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur district. The Jal Shakti Department has discontinued the supply of water since then.
According to reports, those who have fallen sick are the residents of villages of Banh, Jandgi Gujran, Jandali Rajputan, Panyala, Pathiyalu, Niyati, Rangas Chowki Haar, Thain, and Sankar.
According to locals, two to three members of each household have been unwell as a result of drinking contaminated water from the Jal Shakti Department.
