UP govt screens 27 lakh citizens in special campaign to eradicate TB by 2025
The Uttar Pradesh government has screened more than 27 lakh citizens as part of a comprehensive campaign to eliminate tuberculosis (TB) from Uttar Pradesh by 2025.
The testing of water samples under the JJM was carried out by rural women in just nine months – from April 22 to December 22 this year.
Over 30.39 lakh samples of water were completed under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) till the last week of December 2022 in Uttar Pradesh. These tests were conducted by rural women.
In order to ensure that clean water is available in rural areas in sync with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government has completed the testing of over 30,39,687 samples of water till the last week of December 2022, said officials here on Friday.

The testing of water samples under the JJM was carried out by rural women in just nine months – from April 22 to December 22 this year. The tests were conducted with the help of field test kits (FTK) in their villages.

According to officials, 4.22 lakh samples of water were found to be contaminated and remedial measures have been taken for 46,000 samples by the engineers of Jal Nigam-Rural.
