The Congress on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of a coalition with the Peoples Democratic Alliance (PDP).
With the Jammu and Kashmir coalition government collapsing after Bharatiya Janata Party walked out of the alliance on Tuesday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter saying that the opportunistic BJP-PDP alliance set fire to the state.
In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi said, “The opportunistic BJP-PDP alliance set fire to J&K, killing many innocent people including our brave soldiers. It cost India strategically & destroyed years of UPA’s hard work. The damage will continue under President’s rule. Incompetence, arrogance & hatred always fails”.

The Congress on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of a coalition with the Peoples Democratic Alliance (PDP).
Earlier in the day, Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said “BJP-PDP failed in running the state. Congress and NC had removed terrorism from the state but when this government had come we had said that the state will be ruined. Large number of soldiers and civilians died during this period.”
“We have been proven right that formation of the PDP-BJP government was a…blunder. This is a total failure on the part of the government of India”, added Azad.
In a surprise move, the BJP on Tuesday decided to pull out of its alliance with Mehbooba Mufti’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government in J-K. The two parties had formed an alliance in Jammu and Kashmir in 2014.
