2 terrorists killed in Anantnag, encounters underway in Srinagar, Bandipora
Two heavily armed terrorists were killed on Saturday in an encounter with security forces in the Halkan Gali forest area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
One Pakistani terrorist was killed in an encounter on Monday in the Qazigund area of South Kashmir after the ultras attacked a convoy of the Army. Two soldiers were injured as the terrorists indiscriminately fired at the convoy on the Jammu– Srinagar highway.
Reports said that another Pakistani terrorist identified as 16 years old Abu Maviya of the Lashkar-e-Taiyba is believed to be trapped at the encounter site. The J&K police DGP SP Vaid said that the security forces have cordoned the area in the Nussu Badargund village and an encounter was underway.
Army sources said that heavy exchange of fire was going on between the security forces and terrorists.
