Political opponents are arrested without evidence and put on trial for months while Mr Gautam Adani walks free despite repeated and grave allegations, she said.
Actor Prakash Raj says there has been no film offers from Hindi film industry after he spoke out against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. The actor first spoke against PM Modi in October after the murder of Gauri Lankesh. Since then Bollywood has stopped offering him roles in the industry, he says.
Speaking to The Print, the actor said, “There is no problem (with the film industry) in the South, but there has been no offer from the Hindi film industry since I started speaking out.” Prakash Raj also added that it doesn’t bother him as he has ‘enough money’.
Journalist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead outside her house in September last year. A longtime friend of Lankesh, Prakash Raj also said, “Gauri’s death disturbed me a lot… She was asking questions. When she was silenced, I felt guilty. Did we leave her alone in her fight? The more I question, the more attempts to silence me, be it (by) character assassination, threat or (by) trying to stop my work… it’s the BJP.”

Prakash Raj further went on to question BJP president Amit Shah ‘s credentials, saying: “Why are we afraid of Amit Shah Ji? What are his credentials as a leader? Have you (Shah) given one of the most pathbreaking, progressive ideas to the country?” The Print quotes Prakash.
