Deputy Commissioner of Police (West Delhi), Ghanshyam Bansal said keeping in view the increasing menace of smuggling and consumption of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, the Narcotic Squad team of West District had deployed its technical and manual surveillance upon drug paddlers.

Specific information was received on November 16 about a Nigerian national involved in the drug paddling activity. It was informed that the said Nigerian will come on the Ring Road, Vikaspuri to deliver a consignment of heroin.
Immediately, a police team under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Arvind Kumar reached the spot and arrested the accused after laying a trap. Police recovered the drugs from the accused.
Efforts are on to get the details of the persons who are involved in this illegal trade.
