Assam STF nabs three, seizes heroin worth Rs 1.4 crore in Guwahati
The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam Police arrested three individuals and confiscated heroin worth Rs 1.4 crore during a major anti-narcotics operation on Saturday evening.
The case pertains to a criminal conspiracy to carry out terrorist and subversive activities hatched by cadres and OGWs of various terror outfits and their affiliates operating at the behest of their Pakistani handlers.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), on Friday, conducted searches at 14 locations across Jammu and Kashmir in a case related to terror activities of various outfits.
The raids were carried out in Kulgam, Anantnag, Pulwama (south Kashmir), Sopore (north Kashmir’s Baramulla) and Jammu, a spokesperson of the NIA said.

The spokesman said that the searches were conducted in connection with case RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU that was registered against the spread of terrorist activities by various proscribed terrorist outfits in J&K.

The case pertains to criminal conspiracy to carry out terrorist and subversive activities hatched by cadres and OGWs of various terror outfits and their affiliates and offshoots operating under various pseudo-names, at the behest of their Pakistani handlers.
They are involved in carrying out terrorist attacks by using cyber-space in J&K, targeting minorities, security personnel and spreading communal disharmony.
The case was registered suo moto on 21 June 2022 by NIA police station at Jammu. During the searches conducted today, various incrementing materials, including digital devices, SIM cards and digital storage devices etc have been seized from the searched premises, NIA said.
Further investigation was continuing, the spokesman added.
