Sukhada Narkar, spokesperson of Thane police said that police had summoned Advocate Rizwan Siddiqui for recording his statement after his name came up during the probe, but he failed to turn up. He was taken into custody at his Mumbai house, she said.
Siddiqui has represented several celebrities including Bollywood actors. Rajani Pandit, a well-known woman detective, was arrested in the case on February 2. She got bail recently.
The actor earlier dismissed everything revealed about him as “random allegations” and expressed disgust over the accusations.
Nawazuddin wrote on Twitter,”Last evening, I was helping my daughter to prepare her school project Hydroelectric Power Generator and went to her school this morning for Project Exhibition. To my surprise, the media had questions about some random allegations on me. #Disgust.”
After Nawazuddin expressed disgust over the accusation and called them ‘random allegations’, his wife has now come out in his support. Aaliya took to Facebook and rubbished the allegations.
