PM Modi extends greetings on occasion of Bhai Dooj
Union Home Minister Amit Shah hoped that the festival will bring immense happiness in everyone's life.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday visited Vice President-elect M Venkaiah Naidu's residence to congratulate him on his victory and said he was confident that Naidu will serve the nation as a diligent and dedicated Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
Modi along with BJP chief Amit Shah reached at Naidu's residence on 30, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Road, soon after the results were declared and greeted him for his victory in the polls.
"Congratulations to M Venkaiah Naidu Garu on being elected India's Vice President. My best wishes for a fruitful and motivating tenure," Modi said in a series of tweets.

"I am confident M. Venkaiah Naidu will serve the nation as a diligent and dedicated Vice President, committed to the the goal of nation building," he said.
He also said that his mind was filled with memories of working with Naidu, in the party and government. "Will cherish this aspect of our association," Modi added.
Shah said that the journey of Naidu, a farmer' son, to the office of Vice President is the victory of every small farmer contributing to nation's growth.
"I am sure Naiduji's extensive knowledge and vast experience will be a great asset to the office of Vice President and Rajya Sabha," he said.
Apart from Modi and Shah other senior leaders from the the union cabinet including Bandaru Dattatreya, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Harsimrat Kaur Badal visited Naidu's house to congratulate him.
NDA nominee Naidu was on Saturday elected the next Vice President of India, defeating opposition candidate Gopalkrishna Gandhi by a margin of 272 votes.
Naidu secured 516 votes while Gandhi got 244 votes. Of the 771 votes polled, 11 votes were declared invalid.
