Veteran actress and social activist Nafisa Ali has been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. On Saturday, Nafisa took to social media to reveal her condition.
She shared a picture with her friend and politician Sonia Gandhi and captioned the picture as, “Just met my precious friend who wished me luck & to get well from my just diagnosed stage 3 cancer.”

Nafisa Ali is known for her Bollywood films like Junoon, Life in a Metro, Yamla Pagla Deewana and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3. The actor has also shared the screen with Amitabh Bachchan in 2007 Malayalam film.
Nafisa is married to Arjuna Award winner Colonel RS Sodhi and they have three children – daughters Armana and Pia and son Ajit.

She also had a short stint in politics and contested the 2009 elections on a Samajwadi Party ticket from Lucknow. She is now a member of the Congress and was the chairperson of the Children’s Film Society of India in 2015.
After Irrfan Khan and Sonali Bendre, Nafisa is the third celebrity from Bollywood to have been diagnosed with cancer. A couple of months ago, actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife Tahira Kashyap too revealed that she was battling cancer.
