In his first statement after his arrest by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said his life was dedicated to the nation whether inside jail or outside jail.
Kejriwal said this while being taken for his appearance at the Rouse Avenue court following his arrest on Thursday night.

In an appeal to the court, the ED sought the custody of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy.
On the other hand, the AAP termed Kejriwal’s arrest a conspiracy that had been hatched and created to stop the AAP chief from campaigning for the upcoming general elections. It called for a nationwide protest against the ruling dispensation at the Centre for it leader’s arrest.
Meanwhile, as the AAP leaders and supporters hit the streets in the national capital on Friday including Delhi cabinet ministers, Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and others were detained by the police.
The AAP had announced a protest outside the BJP office while Opposition party leaders condemned the arrest.
On Thursday, hours after the Delhi High Court refused interim protection to Kejriwal from any coercive action in connection with the money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy. He was arrested and detained by the federal probe agency’s officials who quizzed him at his residence for about two hours before.
