Akhilesh Yadav slams Yogi Govt for alleged voter suppression in UP bye-elections
Yadav warned that a new and troubling form of democracy was emerging in Uttar Pradesh under the BJP rule.
UP Minister Danish Azad Ansari Takes a Mungeri Lal Jibe at Akhilesh Yadav’s ‘Future PM’ Posters Amidst Alliance Discord.
Uttar Pradesh Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Danish Azad Ansari, didn’t hold back in his response to Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav’s ambitious posters depicting him as the ‘Future PM.’ With a touch of humor, Ansari remarked that everyone is free to dream, saying, “There is a saying, ‘Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapne’ (Mungeri Lal’s beautiful dreams). Nobody can stop anyone from daydreaming. But one should dream as per one’s capability. Under PM Modi’s leadership, our country is going ahead on the path of development.”
The backdrop for this ‘Mungeri Lal’ exchange is the ongoing discord between the partners of the INDIA alliance, namely the SP and Congress, over seat distribution in the upcoming elections in Madhya Pradesh. The poster, featuring Akhilesh Yadav as the future Prime Minister, was the creation of SP leader Fakhrul Hasan Chaand, who explained that it was a heartfelt gesture of love and respect towards their party chief.
He further elaborated, “Akhilesh Yadav’s birthday is on July 1, but to express their love and respect towards their leader, Samajwadi Party workers celebrate his birthday multiple times. Today, some party leaders and workers are celebrating his birthday. Party workers are praying that Akhilesh Yadav becomes the PM of the country and serves the people.”

Not one to let the opportunity pass, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla remarked on the uniqueness of the INDI alliance and its apparent lack of a clear mission or vision for the country. His comment hinted at the political complexities that have come to the forefront, particularly in light of the disagreements between alliance partners.
Akhilesh Yadav, in a statement made on a previous occasion, expressed his realization that the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance might be confined to the national level, hinting at the challenges the alliance faces. He also questioned who would stand with the Congress if they continued to behave in a certain manner.
This exchange of words and the intriguing political dynamics highlight the tensions and intricacies that underlie the alliance politics in the run-up to the upcoming elections.
