The CM also announced that Simhastha-2028 would elevate Ujjain as a prominent center for religious tourism on the global stage. He said that in preparation for the event, a helipad would be constructed at Sadaval to improve access to the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in the temple town.

Additionally, a new four-lane road from Somvariya to the Simhastha bypass is planned with the tender process already underway. Approval has also been granted for a four-lane expansion from KD Gate to beyond Bima Hospital and work on the Ujjain-Indore six-lane road has commenced, he informed.

He said that the foundation stone was also laid for the road from Tapobhoomi to Hamukhedi. The CM emphasized that all main access roads to Ujjain would be developed as four-lane highways, ensuring that the district’s rural areas are well-connected to major roadways.

Stating that all Vaishnav and Shaiva saints from various Sanyasi traditions of Sanatan Dharma gather at the Simhastha every 12 years to set the future direction, conduct and principles of Sanatan Dharma, Dr Yadav pointed out that this grand Simhastha fair will be dedicated to the establishment of humanity, positioning India as a guiding force for the world.
