Husband held for woman’s murder in North East Delhi
A 34-year-old man was arrested for stabbing his 27-year-old wife to death over a matrimonial dispute in the Johripur Pulia area of North East Delhi, the police said on Thursday.

Two persons shot dead a 58-year-old lady and her daughter on Tuesday at their home in Jalandhar, Punjab, according to police.
According to them, the incident happened in Bhujewal village when two people on bikes broke into the house and killed Ranjit Kaur and her 32-year-old daughter Gurpreet Kaur.

They said that the attackers even attempted to set Ranjit’s body on fire.

Police believe that Jaspreet Singh, Gurpreet’s estranged husband who lives in the US, was involved in the double murder.
Jagtar Singh, the husband of Ranjit, claims that Jaspreet hired contract murderers to murder the two women.
Karanjit Singh, a native of Nawanshahr, has been identified as one of the attackers, according to Jalandhar Senior Superintendent of Police (rural), Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar.
Police claimed that more investigation was being conducted and that efforts were being made to apprehend the offenders.
