Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday referred to a mail he had received from a fellow citizen appreciating his cleanliness drive through ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign and attributed its success to ‘this very feeling of ownership among 125 crore Indians..’

The said mail came from one Pranav Saxena, mentioned by the Prime Minister, from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, in which he said he was inspired by Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign. Saxena also sent a few sketches by him depicting people’s participation in the cleanliness drive.

“Pranav Saxena from Saharanpur expresses support for Swachh Bharat Mission and urges others to support it too. It is this very feeling of ownership among 125 crore Indians towards Swachh Bharat Mission that has led to India making remarkable progress in cleanliness and sanitation,” Prime Minister tweeted early Sunday morning.

In another tweet Modi expressed his happiness over a letter from a young boy who had visited Ladakh along with his family. The boy Samakit, whose name Modi had mentioned, shared his experience with the Prime Minister about his visit to Ladakh and how armed forces were patrolling the area.

He also sent a picture with the Indus and Zanskar rivers in the background. Reacting to the letter Modi tweeted: “Delighted to receive a letter from my young friend Samakit, who shares his experiences from a family holiday to Ladakh. He also writes about his sense of pride towards our Armed Forces, which was heartening to read. #IncredibleIndia.” Last year Modi called upon country’s citizens to visit various parts of the country as students and promote tourism in the country.
