After having entertained theatre-lovers globally, Feroz Abbas Khan’s modern take on the classic Mughal-e-Azam is all set to make a comeback for its 175th show in the national capital. A classic 16thcentury love story presented with the nuances of modernity, the show chronicles Salim and Anarkali’s story in the backdrop of an angry father- Akbar, who disapproves of the romance and an ego battle ensues. With Manish Malhotra’s contribution to the costume design and technical expertise of Broadway and original songs from the film, the musical promises to cater to a variety of audiences.

Director Feroz Abbas Khan, talking about the musical, said: “Mughale-E-Azam is a story with a heart that has created a legacy amongst its patrons. Our performance of this iconic love story is a tribute to its timelessness.”
