Expressing concern over the violence in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, and Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati demanded that the governments of both states should maintain peace.
In a couple of posts on social media on Saturday, Mayawati said, “The violence in Haldwani of Uttarakhand state and the loss of life and property in it is extremely worrying. If the government, administration, and intelligence system had been alert, this incident could have been prevented. The government should conduct a high-level investigation and also maintain peace.”
