Major General Dinesh Shrivastava has assumed the Command of Golden Katar Division on 15 August 2019.
The Golden Katar Division is responsible for safeguarding the borders with Pakistan along Southern Rajasthan and Gujarat. The Division has been contributing to the internal security and aid to civil authorities during disaster / natural calamities.
Maj Gen Dinesh Shrivastava has served in varied terrains and holds a vast experience. He has undertaken important assignments in counter-insurgency areas like J&K and NE, commanded a unit in Strike Corps and Siachen Glacier (OP-MEGHDOOT).

The General Officer commanded a Brigade at Port Blair in the strategically important Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mrs Meenu Shrivastava, the wife of the General Officer, has assumed the charge of Chairperson Family Welfare Organisation of the Golden Katar Division.
