The party's reaction came after US prosecutors charged Gautam Adani and others in an alleged bribery scam.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA has finalised its Bihar seat-sharing agreement for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde announced on Monday.
As per the pact, the BJP will contest 17 seats in Bihar, while Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led JD(U) will field candidates in 16 constituencies.
Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has been given five seats, while Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) and another ally will contest on one seat each.

There are 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
The BJP will contest on 17 seats, JDU on 16 seats, LJP (Ram Vilas) on 5 seats, Hindustani Awam Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha on one seat each…” Tawde told ANI.
Raju Tiwari, the Bihar state president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) confirmed the development and said, “Five seats have been given to Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). We will win all 40 Lok Sabha seats of Bihar.”

In 2019, both the BJP and JDU had contested on 17 seats each. However, this time, while the BJP’s number remained unchanged, the JDU was given 16 seats, one less than the last election.
The NDA had swept the polls and won 39 of the 40 seats.
The Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be held in seven phases, begining form April 19. Bihar will vote in all the seven phases. The results will be announced on June 4.
