Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday to enquire about the health of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who is suffering from advanced pancreatic cancer.
According to a PTI report, the Chief Minister of Goa is admitted at the old private ward under Dr Pramod Garg, professor of gastroenterology, and is under observation.
Manohar Parrikar has undergone a series of tests at the premier health institute.
Earlier, Union Home Minister and Senior Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Rajnath Singh also visited ailing Manohar Parrikar at AIIMS on Sunday (September 16).
Rajnath Singh had also spoken to the doctors who are supervising his treatment and wished Parrikar a speedy recovery.
Parrikar was shifted to AIIMS on September 15 for his follow-up treatment after he returned from the US in the first week of September. He had been admitted to a private hospital in Candolim, North Goa, also for a few days. Earlier this year, he had undergone a three-month-long treatment in the US.
