J-K: Exchange of fire between terrorists, security forces in forest area of Srinagar
An exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces was reported in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar district, police said on Sunday.
The Lt Governor directed officials to complete 10 blocks comprising 240 residential units by 20 March.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday conducted an on-site inspection and reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction work for the transit accommodation for PM Package employees at Zewan in Srinagar.

He further directed the officials to install CCTV cameras and to expedite the completion of work on both the approach road to the transit accommodation and the boundary wall simultaneously.

It was reported that over 70 per cent of the project’s target has been achieved with the completion of civil works on 26 blocks comprising 624 flats.
Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Principal Secretary to Lt Governor, Vidhi Kumar Birdi, IGP Kashmir, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
