Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address two rallies in poll-bound Jharkhand on Monday.
Incidentally in 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the first person to fly to New Delhi in a special flight from Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport in Andal.
Law, judiciary and labour minister Moloy Ghatak received Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of the state government at Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport in Andal today.
The Prime Minister arrived on an official two-day Jharkhand and Bengal visit and left for Jharkhand around 10.35am in a special aircraft of Indian Air Force chopper from Andal airport. Tomorrow, the PM will leave for New Delhi from Arjan Singh Air Base of the Indian Air Force in Panagarh.
MP of Durgapur Burdwan, Surendar Singh Ahluwalia, district leadership of BJP, including district president Bappa Chatterjee were also present on the occasion. District magistrate of West Burdwan, S Ponnambalam, commissioner of police (CP) of Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate (ADPC), Sunil Kumar Choudhury were also at the airport to receive the Prime Minister.

PM Modi had also flagged of the inaugural run of 03509 Deoghar-Dibrugarh Express Train and dedicated the Mohanpur – Hansdiha New Rail Line in Jasidih-Deoghar-Dumka Section over Asansol division to the nation through videoconference today.
On this occasion an inaugural ceremony was arranged at Mohanpur station.
“03509 Deoghar-Dibrugarh Express train is a gift from the railway ministry for the people of Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal & Assam. This train will foster the economic development of the service area. It will further boost the railway connectivity in the eastern & northeastern part of India.”
The new Mohanpur-Hansdiha line serves two districts in the state of Jharkhand – Deoghar and Dumka. The stations involved in the project are Mohanpur, an existing halt station over Deoghar-Dumka section converted into a Junction station, Khairadih, Harlatan, Kakni and Hansdiha, an existing crossing station over Mandar Hill-Rampurhat section. The new Mohanpur-Hansdiha line can potentially bring various benefits to the public, such as improved transportation, increased connectivity, and better access to markets and services. This can lead to economic development, job opportunities and overall growth in the region.
MP Nishikant Dubey, MLA Narayan Das and divisional railway manager, Asansol railway division, Chetna Nand Singh were present during the inaugural ceremony.
