While the hospital has claimed that Lalu Prasad’s condition has improved, the RJD supremo believes that the decision of him getting discharged is being taken due to political pressure.
Lalu Prasad has written a letter questioning the AIIMS decision, claiming that he was still not fit enough to return to Ranchi. In the letter, Lalu Prasad wrote, “I don’t want to be shifted back to Ranchi hospital, as that hospital is not properly equipped to treat my ailments.”
According to media reports, the RJD leader added that that his condition has not improved yet and he gets unconscious from time to time because of high sugar.
Earlier today, Congress President Rahul Gandhi met Lalu Prasad Yadav at the hospital in New Delhi and enquired about his health condition.
Lalu Prasad was undergoing treatment for various ailments, including related to heart and kidney.
The RJD chief has been convicted in four cases related to the fodder scam since 2013.
Initially, Prasad was admitted to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Ranchi on 17 March after complaining of uneasiness at Birsa Munda Jail. He was later shifted to AIIMS after a Special CBI court allowed him to seek treatment in the national capital.
