Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday visited the Government Medical College (GMC) here to inquire about the health of civilians, who were injured in the recent terror attack in Dangri village of Rajouri.

Dr Shashi Sudan, Principal, GMC and other senior doctors briefed the Lt Governor on the health condition of Sanvi Sharma, Prince Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Pawan Kumar and medical procedures being followed.

The Lt Governor also met the family members of the injured and assured all possible assistance. He directed the hospital administration to ensure the best possible medical care and assistance for their speedy recovery. The injured persons were shifted here for treatment in the medical college hospital.

The L-G has already provided Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia to the kin of each killed and Rs 1 lakh to those injured in the terror attack.

Six persons, including two children, were killed in the terror strike in the village. Two terrorists targeted three houses in the village on the evening of January 1.

Efforts of security forces to track down the terrorists have so far remained futile. At least a dozen suspects have been questioned by the police.
