AAP-Congress fought to destroy each other, made it easier for Modi and Shah: INDIA bloc ally on Delhi results
Despite being allies in the INDIA bloc, the AAP and the Congress contested the Delhi elections separately.

Senior Congress leader MI Shanavas, passed away at the age of 67 early on Wednesday at a private hospital in Chennai, Tamil Nadu after a prolonged illness.
The Member of Parliament who represented the Wayanad constituency twice in the Lok Sabha breathed his last at around 1 am. He had undergone a liver transplant on Nov 2.

“The party has lost a stalwart. I have lost a dear brother,” said the Leader of Opposition in the Kerala Assembly, Ramesh Chennithala.

His mortal remains are expected to be brought to Kochi in the afternoon.
“His body will be brought to Kochi… It will lay in state for the public to pay their last respects and the final rites will take place tomorrow,” said Chennithala.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan along with senior Congress leader and former chief minister Oommen Chandy and opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, expressed their condolences over Shanavas’ demise.
The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) working president is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
A long-time close aide of former Kerala Chief Minister K. Karunakaran, Shanavas along with Chennithala and former Kerala Speaker late G. Karthikeyan parted ways with Karunakaran in the 1980s and formed their own faction.
Shanavas won the 2009 Lok Sabha polls from Wayanad, which he retained in 2014. He was also the Congress Working President in Kerala.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condoled the passing away of Shanavas.
