JoSAA is one of the important examinations for the candidates planning to take admission to different courses in about 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs), 23 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and 20 government-funded technical institutions (GFTIs).

As per the updates, authorities will fill about 36,000 seats in 2018. JoSAA will be organising about seven rounds for the seat allocation.
